3.  PET Recycling Dilemma:  U.S. firms want more scrap, but China will buy contaminated bales...
U.S. companies are increasing demand for domestic sources of clean PET scrap while most of America is succumbing to the convenience of single stream recycling.  More people recycle with single stream programs – but, once separated and baled, the single stream commodities still remain too contaminated for U.S. companies.  Will China always be willing to do the dirty work of separating contaminated plastic? http://recyclingtoday.texterity.com/recyclingtoday/201207?sub_id=xfuO2TuLdOzX&folio=44#pg44

4. Methane Gas Development or Waste-to-Energy Plant?
Ada County, Idaho is in the news since County Commissioners signed a contract with a waste-to-energy company….while a separate contract exists with another company laying claim to the methane gas generated in the landfill.
